John Stephen Swain

AR-SA John S. Swain, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and brother passed away on January 19, 2015. John was born in Billings, Montana in January of 1925 to his parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth, where he grew up with his brother and six sisters. John moved west to the Seattle area, married, eventually settling in Lynnwood, Wash. and raised his family. He spent much of his adult life working in the commercial fishing industry here in Washington and Alaska. John leaves behind his wife of 12 years, Ceil; children, Dianne (Sam), Stephen (Cindy), Teresa (John), Peter (Carol), Pat (Teri), Marilyn (Keith); 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and the rest of his family. In retirement, John loved snow-birding to Arizona, going for drives, his grandkids sporting events and family get-togethers. There will be a vigil service on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Becks Funeral Home at 405 5th Ave. S., Edmonds, WA. The funeral will take place on the 4th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Parish in Lynnwood, WA.
