June Marie Sheehan

June Marie (Doble) Sheehan passed away on December 8, 2011 after a long battle with Alzheimers disease. She was born on June 6, 1922 in Butte, Montana to May and Charles Doble. In 1944 she married Thomas Martin Sheehan, to whom she was a devoted wife for 62 years until his death in 2006. She and Thomas moved their family from Butte to Seattle in 1968, where June worked in the haberdashery at the Bon Marche until she retired in 1988. A devout Catholic, she and Thomas faithfully attended St. Lukes Church in Seattle, where she regularly volunteered assembling rosary beads and preparing food for the homeless. Devoted parents, she and Thomas raised six children: Deborah, Patricia, Thomas, John, Mark and Alice, whom they loved dearly and who formed the very center of their lives. She is survived by all of her children and by six cherished grandchildren: Lance, Brian, Ryan, Samantha, Devin and Jessica; as well as her sisters Ruth (Doble) Shea, Audrey (Doble) Daly, Francis Grace (Doble) Cunningham and Janet (Doble) Janhunen; and her brother Robert (Bob) Doble. She was a lively woman who loved to laugh and spend time with family. All who knew her cherished her for her beauty, kindness, humor and unfailing generosity. She will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
