Kay Lois Druebert

Kay Lois Druebert, born March 19, 1940 in Camden, NJ, died Tuesday January 31, 2012 in Seattle, WA at age 71. Missy Woodworth grew up the daughter of a serviceman for the US Coast Survey and lived in many different states. After settling in the Seattle area, she met and married Herman H. Tex Druebert in 1960 and together raised 2 daughters, Tracy Kvietkus (Michael) and Kristi Schmidt (Lee). Her parents Kay and Ralph Woody, 2 older brothers Lawrence and Kent, and Herman, her husband of 45 years, preceded her in death. She is survived by her 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.Growing up all over the country, she enjoyed many different adventures with her family hunting, fishing, and camping. She learned to ski as a teenager and loved taking the family to Sun Valley every February for ski school vacation. Love of snow sports carried over to her daughters, with 2 grandkids now involved with alpine ski racing and 2 grandkids who are avid snowboarders.Lois was a dedicated mother, wife and an avid reader. She was actively involved with her daughters club swimming and enjoyed playing doubles tennis for many years. She took pride in her familys accomplishments and spending time with her 1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
