Marcella Kubal Olson

Marcella (Marcie) Kubal Olson went to her Lord peacefully at home December 2, 2015, after a long and full life sharing love and kindness with all she knew.Marcie was born December 17, 1919, to Emilia and Edward Kubal in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She often spoke of her wonde childhood surrounded by a large and loving family.Married to Bjarne Olson in 1940, the family soon moved to Seattle, Wash. where she raised her five young children. They then moved to Mountlake Terrace, Wash. in 1950, and grew to eight children. She remained in that home until her death.Marcie was the ideal mother, whose life revolved around her children, grandchildren, church and friends. She was a devoted chartered member of St. Pius X Catholic Church active in the Ladies Guild and Catholic Daughters of America. She loved her vege and flower gardens, traveling and living a simple life.Marcie suffered through the passing of her five sons: James (Buzz), Robert, Thomas, Richard and Lawrence, but her optimistic, loving spirit never wavered.She is survived by her sister, Harriet Faestel; daughters, Beverly Prast (Heinz), Patricia Newton and Cynthia Olson; and her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Arrangements made by Becks Funeral Home.Viewing and rosary will be held 12:00 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2015, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 22209 58th Ave. West, Mountlake Terrace, WA, with the mass following at 1:00 p.m.Memorial donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
