Margaret Helena Bollerslev
Mar 3, 1936 — Aug 4, 2016
Margaret Helena James Bollerslev, 80, died peacefully in Shoreline, Washington on Thursday, August 4, 2016. Margaret, or Monie, as she was known to friends and family, was born on March 3, 1936 in La Grange, Oregon. The eldest of 8 children born to Martin and Dixie James, she lived her life to the fullest, making homes in Seattle, Montana, Merced California and finally in Shoreline. Her first marriage to Bill Hemmen, Sr. produced three sons, Bill Jr., Ken and Jeff. Her second marriage to George Bollerslev in 1971 lasted until Georges death in January of 2015. Monie was first and foremost a mother. Her boys brought her boundless joy and she loved to tell tales about all three. She was delighted in her grandchildren and nieces and nephews and was always interested in the latest news and adventures of her family. Her second love was telling jokes the cornier the better. Everywhere Monie went was sure to include at least a dozen jokes and the continual search for new material. Finally Monie was passionate about her relationship with the Lord and her journey of faith. She was a source of strength, encouragement, love and compassion to us all. Monie is survived by her brother Marty (Pattie) James, sisters Martha James and Sandra (John) Dawes. Monie is also survived by her sons Bill (Carola), Ken (Pat) and Jeff (Gia). She also leaves six grandchildren, Eric, T.J., Amanda, Jordan, Katie and Gabrielle, nieces and nephews Ernie, Bert. Andrew, Mary, Barry and Tracey, as well as many cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband George, brothers Johnny, Walter and Charlie James, and sister Betsy Fontaine. The family would like to especially thank Crista Nursing Home for the loving care provided to Monie during these last several years. Funeral services for Margaret will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Shoreline, Washington. A rosary will be held prior to the funeral at 10:30 a.m.
