Marion L. Kurtz Fyall passed away peacefully in her Edmonds home October 6, 2012. Marion was born June 14, 1923, in Havre, Montana to parents Frank and Alice Dunn Kurtz. She grew up on the family homestead and wheat farm just south of Gilford, Montana with brother, Francis Kurtz (deceased) and sister, Grace Nordrum of Havre. Marion met her husband, Andrew Fyall, first as her nursing patient, and shortly thereafter became his beautiful bride of 46 years. They were married March 23, 1947 and remain beloved by their cherished children: John (Vicki), Bruce (deceased 1952), Brian (Susan), and Carol (Keith Officer); grandchildren: Ian (Korrin), Amber (Mike Delmar), Chris (Rachel), Grant, Adam, and Mark; and great-grandchildren Inara and Ewan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Marion attended a one-room schoolhouse, the Pride of the Prairie, Havre High School and then Montana State University, where she graduated in 1945 with a BS in Nursing. She served the Edmonds School District as a school nurse from 1967 1985 and resided in Edmonds, Washington since 1957. A memorial will be held at Maplewood Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 13th at 2pm. Announcement: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated at Maplewood Presbyterian Church, Edmonds, WA or the MSU Foundation (Kurtz Fyall Nursing Domestic Endowment Fund), c/o Stacy Radke, 1501 S 11th Ave, Bozeman, MT 59717.
