Marion Estelle Undhjem

Marion Estelle Undhjem was born on November 5, 1927 and went in peace to be with Jesus in heaven on February 18, 2013. Marion was born to Stella and Odin Krageland in Fargo, North Dakota and graduated from Fargo North High School and also Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She earned her masters degree in piano/organ from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. In 1951, she married Arlin Undhjem and they made their home in Plentywood, Montana where they raised their two children, Bruce and Sharon, until moving to Olympia, Washington in 1969. Marion taught private piano lessons for years and also served as the church organist at both Plentywood Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (Olympia). She enjoyed music her entire life, especially classical music. Marion also enjoyed having lefse bakes with dear friends and family and playing a good game of Rook. She was involved in the womens ministry at her home churches and found peace in her Christian faith. She loved her family dearly and especially her three precious granddaughters.Marion is preceded in death by her loving and faithful husband of 51 years, Arlin and her dear brother, Howard Krageland. She is survived by her two children, Bruce (Beth) Undhjem of Edmonds, WA and Sharon (Roger) Swagger of Burnsville, MN. She also leaves behind three wonde granddaughters, Katie (Jeff) Hankins, Darcy (Jim) Lee and Kelsey Swagger and many loving family and friends.A private funeral will be held for Marion Undhjem at Trinity Lutheran in Lynnwood, WA on March 7, 2013 and she will be buried at Tahoma National Cemetery.
