Mary Therese Cabalonga

Mary Therese Cabalonga of Mukilteo, WA, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2022, with the love of her life by her side. Therese is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jacinto “Jac” and their children, Kristin (Vic) Obillo, Joseph, and Corinne (Mark) Buenaflor. As well as their beloved grandkids Alexi, Bianca and Chelsea, Dustin and Keith, Macy and Matthew. She also leaves behind her siblings Gody (Ainie), Denis (Jane), Gigi (Jonathan) Gere, Pensy and Joy (Jim) Seri. Along with her nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Delfin and Lily Naui, and her siblings Celestine, Cristino and Alexius. Therese was born in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya Philippines and graduated with a BS in Zoology. She then went on to earn her MA and PhD in Science Education. She was a lifelong educator and taught at St. Ferdinand College, St. Mary’s College and Nueva Vizcaya State University. She migrated to the US with her husband after retiring in 2013. Therese and her husband enjoyed traveling around the world. They visited cities in the Philippines, Canada, Mexico, France, the UK, Italy, and a number of states along both the East and West coasts of America. Therese was multi-talented, with skills in cooking, crocheting, and piano playing. She was known for her wit, authenticity, and her fashion sense, stylishly matching all her bags and shoes. She was a caring and generous person and will be deeply missed by everyone who loved and knew her.
