Monica Barbara Zollars

Monica Carey Zollars died September 17 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Monica was born into the family of Edward and Mary Ellen Carey in 1929. Her grandparents were among the founding families of Seattle in the 1850s. Monica attended school at St Johns, Holy Names, and Seattle University. Monica Carey married Vernon Zollars in 1953. Monica is survived by her husband Vern, her children Barbara Zollars, Elizabeth Cameron, Kathleen Spadafora, and Patrick Zollars. Monica has nine grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life. Monica also had many nieces and nephews that she enjoyed watching grow up. Monica is survived in life by her beloved sister and best friend Margaret Whinihan. Services for Monica will be held on Friday, 9/22/17 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Edmonds, WA at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family kindly suggest donations to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or any charity involving children.
