Nella Marguerite Hyatt

Nella was born March 22, 1932 in Seattle, Washington to her loving parents William H. and Nella R. Spencer. She grew up on Seaview Avenue near Golden Gardens Park and loved the little home she was raised in. Nella loved being by the water and fishing at the Ballard Locks and in the Puget Sound with her dad and brother. She graduated from Ballard High School in 1951 and then met her husband Frank T. Hyatt and married him in 1952. Nella was a waitress for 52 years and worked at no restaurants in Seattle: Rays Boathouse, Crawfords (which became Ivars), the Wharf at Fishermans Terminal and Castly Francos Hidden Harbor; until she retired in 1996.Nella loved being with her family and was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed attending and taking her kids to the UW Huskies, Seattle Sonics, Seahawks and Mariners games. She also loved to play cards with her close friends and participating as a board member of Condo Association Marthas Vineyard in Mukilteo, WA. Nella was preceded in death by Frank T. in 1995; and two of her four sons, William J. in 1996 and Frank A. in 2009. She is survived by her sons, Steven M. and James R.; her daughter-in-law, Melissa K. and her cherished grandchildren: Stephan Ross, Chance Oakley and Emerson Sophia. We will miss Moms welcoming smile and her loving and endearing spirit and will love her forever.
