Patti Cline

Patti Cline (née Baird), age 64, passed away peacefully after a yearlong courageous battle against cancer on May 23, 2026, in Kirkland, Washington. Born on May 5, 1962, in Los Angeles County, California, Patti lived a life filled with love, adventure, and remarkable achievements.

Patti graduated from Woodway High School in Edmonds, Washington, in 1980. During her high school years, she excelled as a standout soccer player. Her talent and dedication to the sport led her to play at the highest level of women's soccer on the West Coast after graduation. Patti competed alongside and against some of the best players in the country, including U.S. Women's Olympic Team captain Michelle Akers. She was invited to train at the Olympic Training Center and came heartbreakingly close to being selected for the inaugural U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team in 1985—a testament to her extraordinary skill and determination.

After high school, Patti began her career at Todd Shipyards before spending nine years working as a maintenance worker for Snohomish County. In more recent years, she found fulfillment washing and cleaning windows in newly constructed homes before their owners moved in. Her strong work ethic and attention to detail were evident throughout her professional life.

Beyond her career and athletic accomplishments, Patti cherished time spent outdoors. She loved fishing, hiking, and especially camping weekends with her extended family—moments that brought joy and connection with her siblings. Patti was also an avid bowler who enjoyed competing in the Friday night league at Strawberry Lanes in Marysville.

Patti’s warmth extended into every aspect of her life. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend whose sense of humor was infectious. She found great joy in babysitting her great-niece and nephews and treasured time spent with family.

Patti is survived by her devoted husband Scott; her daughter Emily Cline; granddaughter Winnie Springer; son-in-law Tyler Springer; as well as four sisters and three brothers who will deeply miss her presence. She was predeceased by her beloved son James Cline and her parents Pat and Howard Baird.

May Patti Cline’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 13th, at a family members residence, 2pm at 7311 171st Ave SE, Snohomish Wa. 98290.
