Peter Richard Mercier

Peter passed away from Colon Cancer at age 52. He leaves behind Melissa the mother of his 3 children; Austin, Katelyn and Ashlyn. Along with his father Dick Mercier, and brother Tyler Mercier. Peter was a loving Father, Brother, & Son. He lived a selfless life, always striving to bring happiness to others through his thoughtful words and heartfelt actions. Peter cherished spending time with his children, and always encouraged them to do their best. He worked as a financial advisor for 30 years, and never failed to place his clients' needs first. Peter had one of the most contagious laughs, he continuously brought a fun and witty sense of humor to every atmosphere. In his free time, Peter enjoyed watching movies with his family, trying new foods at different restaurants, his annual tickets to the opera show, and playing a collection of different online games with friends he had made across the world. Peter regularly socialized with friends far and near, online and in person. He had a great appreciation for a wide variety of music; ranging from gospel hymns, pop music & rock, all the way to classical, symphony and opera. Peter held a deep love for the Lord, and continued seeking and learning biblical truths up until his last days on earth. Each of us can find great comfort knowing that Peter’s death had lost its sting, through the finished work of Christ on the cross. His salvation was secured by our Lord Jesus Christ, and we can be at ease knowing that Pete is enjoying God’s perfect kingdom. For this was not goodbye, but see you soon.
