Peter D. Preston

eter D. Preston, 71, of Edmonds, Washington passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2013. Born in Seattle, Washington to Ronald H. and Madelon Preston, he lived most of his life in Seattle and Edmonds. eter was a passionate man who thoroughly enjoyed his family and friends. Peter grew up in Laurelhurst and attended St. Joseph School and Seattle Prep. He was also a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Seattle. eter earned his B.A. in Sociology from the University of Washington and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin and had a successful career as a family law attorney in Seattle. Licensed to practice law in both Washington and Texas, he had the foresight to retire at age 55, and spend the rest of his life cooking for family and friends, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. eter was a loving father and found great happiness in his children, David Preston of Edmonds, Ron Preston and his wife Kim of Seattle, Dianne Bangle and her husband Shannon of Austin, Texas, Allison Carter of Seattle, and Judy Shotwell and her husband Steve of Oregon. He is also survived by his wife and best friend, Robin Preston; sister Laurie Place and husband Lou, of Ocean Park; his brother Ron Preston and wife Judy, of Houston; as well as his many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
