Richard Dale Albrecht

Apr 13, 1933 — Dec 14, 2013

Richard Albrecht, a longtime resident of Edmonds, passed on to be with his loving wife Barbara on December 14, 2013 at 80 years of age. They were married for 44 years prior to Barbaras death in 2003. Richard was born and raised in the Seattle area. He was one of Henry and Helen Albrechts six children. Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy and after serving his country from 1952 to 1956, he started his career as a machinist at Washington Iron Works in Seattle. Richard retired in 1988 as a Vice President of Manufacturing for Ingersoll-Rand. There was nothing that dad could not build or repair. His family never had to hire a repairman for anything; just call Dad was a common quote. He was an avid fisherman who spent many years fishing at his cabin at Lake Cavanaugh and salmon fishing with his son. Richard is survived by his two children, daughter Joanie (John) Stefansson, Woodinville; son Jim (Debra) Albrecht, Lynnwood; grandchildren Emily Matthew Stefansson, Jessie Roraback, and Joshua Albrecht. At Richards request, there will be no memorial service. You are invited to share a memory online @ href=http://www.becksfuneralhome.com/ www.becksfuneralhome.com. Remembrances may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
