Richard F. Buss

Richard F. Dick Buss, 67, passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2013. He was born in Miami, Florida, and raised in Seattle, WA. He attended Renton High School and went on to graduate at WSU, where he met and married his future bride, Judy Ann Klug. He later received his MBA from Seattle University and his CPA certification. He served as chief financial officer for several corporations, including financial and real estate development firms. Dick was very active in the community, was an officer in the Rotary Club of Emerald City (Seattle), and member of the Olympic Fly Fisher club. Dick loved the outdoors fishing, camping, boating, skiing and hiking, which included the ascent of Mount Rainier. He and Judy supported their daughters enthusiasm for horses and 4-H activities. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, and his father, Frederick Buss and father-in-law Walt Klug. He is survived by his mother, Sarah Louise Buss, mother-in-law, Beulah Klug, his three daughters, Jan Weimer (Chris), Wendy Bright (Geoffrey), and Lori Buss; four grandchildren, Paige and Emily Weimer, and Natalie and Tyler Bright; his brothers, Douglas (Dana) and Carl (Jana) Buss, and brother-in-law, Steve Klug. He also leaves behind his dear friend and loving companion, Ginnie Wirtala and her children Alyssa and Adam. Dicks passion in life was serving others. He will be greatly missed by his entire family and many friends in the Seattle and Edmonds communities. A celebration of Dicks life will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Edmonds Yacht Club, located in the Edmonds Marina at 326 Admiral Way, Suite 100 Edmonds, WA 98020.
