Robert Martin Atkinson

Robert Bob M Atkinson, 52, of Kent, WA passed away on December 26, 2015. Bob was born in Seattle, WA on December 28, 1962 to Erl and Kathleen Atkinson. Bob grew up in Edmonds, WA and he graduated from Bishop Blanchet High School in 1981. Bob worked most recently at Strip Masters and previously worked at National Truck and Paint in addition to Nelson Truck Equipment Company. color:red He was a selfless and loyal brother, father, uncle, and friend who enjoyed his work, spending time with his family and friends, reading and researching family and local history, and had a lifelong passion of all things motorized. He was also actively involved in the Skyway Cliffhangers Jeep Club, the The Kennel Club, All Herd Breeding Club of Western Washington, Australian Shepherd Club of America, Border Collie Handlers, and the South King County Alano Club. Bob is survived by his brother Erl (Jeanne), sister Margaret (Ben), daughter Amie, nephew Sam, nieces Katie and Brianna, and many beloved friends and family members. Bob is preceded in death by his father Erl, mother Kathleen, and brother Mark. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 10 from noon to 3 pm at the Auburn Senior Activity Center at 808 9 Street SE, Auburn, WA. Lunch will be provided. The family requests casual attire, just as Bob would have liked. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Alcoholics Anonymous in Auburn at 1317 Harvey Road, Auburn, WA 98002.
