Robert William Myers
Jan 19, 1948 — Nov 2, 2015
Rob was a generous hard working man with an even bigger heart. He faced every challenge with courage including his 6-month battle with cancer. Rob was born to Harry and Marjorie Myers and grew up on Queen Ann hill in Seattle. In 1967 he graduated from Queen Anne High School. He married Vivienne in 1969, his wife of 47 years, and in 1980 they welcomed the joy of Robs life, his son David. Rob worked at Salmon Bay Sand and Gravel from 1990 2012 never missing a day of work and inheriting the nick name the The Sheriff. In 2001 Rob was proud to have the opportunity to work with his son. He loved family and friends, good times and fixing just about anything, from old cars and lawn mowers to remodeling houses. Rob had a special place in his heart for his four legged family members, Putt Putt 1974 Honda and his beloved 1939 Ford pick-up that he lovingly restored with his own hands. Rob leaves behind his wife and best friend of 47 years, Vivienne; son David; and twin brother Richard; as well as many relatives and dear friends. Rob will be greatly missed by all. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice in honor of Rob. A Celebration of his life will take place on Sunday December 6, 2015 at 2:00 at The Plaza Room on top of the Edmonds Library next to the Frances Anderson Center at 650 Main St Edmonds, WA 98020. Parking is available in the library parking lot. Rob, I am forever with you my Love, Viv.
