Ronald Eugene Paynter, Sr.

On Thursday evening March 22, 2012 Ronald Paynter of Lake Stevens, passed away surrounded by his loving family. Rons passion for life shined everyday as he touched so many. Ron was the most generous, kindest and loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend anyone could ever ask for. The love of his life Lorraine was always at his side and their passion for each other was second to . Some of Rons special time was spent restoring old cars, coaching youth football in the community and teaching his grandsons all aspects of life. Ron was also an avid outdoorsman all his life. He especially loved hunting and fishing with his son, brothers in law and dear friends and passed on the skills it took to become the finest. He was a machinist for the Washington State Ferry System for 23 years and retired in 1999. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Lorraine, son Ron (Jennifer) Paynter of Lake Stevens, daughter Lori Eckstrom (Rob) of Lakes Stevens, the loves of his life his four grandsons, Paxton Paynter, Jordan Eckstrom, Collin Paynter and Hunter Eckstrom all of Lake Stevens. His sisters Janet (Harry) Haas, Lois (Ray) Rose and his brother Ken (May) Paynter. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Daisy Paynter of Waymart, Pennsylvania.
