Rosemary T. Doane

Jul 13, 1927 — Sep 19, 2012

On September 19, 2012, Rosemary enjoyed a visit with several of her children and then decided to go visit those who had passed before her. She went to sleep peacefully and she now joins her husband Raymond, daughter Diane, son Ronald, brother Joe, sister Margaret, her mother Elizabeth and her father Albert and her grandson Jason. Rosemary enjoyed a full and happy life. She always believed in doing something to better herself. After her husband suffered a stroke, she went back to school to update her math and science skills so she could update her nursing degree to support her family. She traveled to Portland to take classes and gain experience. She worked in a nursing home for 16 years and was a union rep there. After the passing of her husband, she moved from The Dalles to the Edmonds area. She volunteered at the food bank and took writing classes. She took the time to write the story of her life along with some very beautiful poems and some very funny stories. She also enjoyed knitting gloves and scarves to donate. She was survived by her son Larry and wife Lisa and their children, Steven, Jesse, Ryan, Rich and Sean; son James and wife Martha and their children Karen (great-grandson Kaezin), Isaac, Michael, Evan and Anna; son Leroy and wife Suzanne and their son Jeremy and wife Miya (great granddaughter Aleena Rose); son Joseph and wife Denise and their children Kevin and Jennifer; son Donald; daughter Bernice Riemer and husband Greg and their children, Katelynn, Kirstin, and Kelsey. She is also survived by her brothers Paul and Michael Dombrowsky. Our family would like to thank the staff at Providence on 10 South for their loving care of Rosemary and their compassion and support for our family. Announcement: Rosemary will be laid to rest next to her husband Raymond in The Dalles at a later date.
