Ruby Louise King

Jul 1, 1923 — Aug 2, 2015

Ruby Louise King was born to Paul and Hilda Juhnke on July 1, 1923 in the familys farm home north of Tugaske, Saskatchewan, Canada. Ruby peacefully entered eternal rest on August 2, 2015 surrounded by family. Ruby married Phillip Wren King, a Canadian Air Force pilot, on January 4, 1946. Together they had three daughters: Diane Mueller, Lynnwood, WA; Carolyn Ritschel (husband Al) of Tuscan, AZ; and Debbie Olson (husband Carl) of Edmonds, WA. She was predeceased by husband, Phil, her parents, four sisters Elsie, Doris, Jeannette and Iris, and her brother, Murray, all of Saskatchewan; and granddaughter Lisa Gaggero. She is survived by sister Pearl Brown of Kelowna, BC and her brother David Juhnke of Pinawa, Manitoba. She has five grandchildren and six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Ina Graybe of 60 plus years when they met while their husbands were in the Air Force. Rubys charitable wish was to support the Seattle Childrens Hospital and the Shriners Burn Center for Children in Texas. This memorial coincides with her fostering 129 children in Canada and Washington State. Ruby was Mother to many. As her final wish, Ruby asked to not have a funeral; but to be cremated and reunited with Phil. A private family memorial service will celebrate Ruby.
