Stephen Michael Holzman

Stephen Holzman passed at home on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017. Steve was born in Canada and moved to the Seattle area where he has been a lifelong resident. Steve worked as an engineer at Boeing, where he had many opportunities to travel the world.Steve leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 25 years, Stacy Klima and their children Madeleine and Colin, his father Don, and his brother Mark (Suzie and their kids Lauren and Ian); along with many Klima family relatives. Steve was preceded in death by his beloved mother Jeanette. Steve worked at the Seattle Times, where he met Stacy and they fell in love. His lifelong love of aviation started with flying RC airplanes and led him to the University of Washington, where he received a BS in Aeronautical Astronautical Engineering. Family and friends have always been important to Steve. Steve enjoyed many opportunities to travel overseas with Stacy, Maddy and Colin. Eight years ago, they purchased a boat which allowed the family to thrill at the beauty of the Puget Sound. Steve has always been very proud of his two children, Maddy and Colin, and all of their tremendous accomplishments.Steve always took an opportunity to make others laugh and to try and brighten everyones day, even when dealing with a cancer diagnosis for the last 1.5 years.Steve will be missed by his family and the many friends whose lives he touched.There will be a Rosary at Becks Tribute Center in Edmonds on Friday October 6th from 5-7PM, with the Rosary being read at 6:30pm. A Celebration of Life will be held November 18 with a time and location to be announced.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cocoon House in Everett, WA.
