Talea Ann Lulay
Jul 17, 1937 — Dec 23, 2016
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious Mother, Talea Lulay, on December 23, 2016 after a valiant battle against cancer.Mom was 79 years young. She was born Talea Ann Windschigl on July 17, 1937 in Mt. Angel, Oregon to parents John and Elizabeth Windschigl (both deceased). Mom was the second of 4 children, Edmund Windschigl (deceased), Vernon Windschigl (wife Galina) and Margaret Windschigl (deceased). The family moved to Silverton, Oregon where John and Elizabeth raised their family.Mom met our father, Roy Lulay, at a dance in 1953 and they married 2 years later. After dad was honorably discharged from the Army, they relocated to Seattle, WA in 1956. They were married 61 years when mom passed. There is no question that she was the love of his life and he is devastated by her loss.Together they raised 5 children, Jan Buescher (Lulay), Ken Lulay, Pam Lulay, Jeff Lulay (fianc Sally) and Jason Lulay (wife Sabrina). They also enjoyed a large and loving family of 6 grandchildren, Derek Buescher (wife Amanda), Chris Lulay, Ally Lulay, Dustin Peabody, Kelli Lulay and Cody Lulay and 2 great grandchildren, Jax Buescher and Cru Buescher. To mom, her family was her greatest joy. She was dedicated to her children and we couldnt have asked for a more loving and caring mother.Mom lived her life with grace and dignity and always had a kind word or a willing ear when others needed it. Her laugh lit up the room and our lives. She was gracious and kind to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.Mom was strong in her faith always, which now gives us great comfort. The family wishes to thank Group Health Hospice and especially Robin Tarter for all of her loving care and support of mom these last several months. You truly do Gods work and we are forever grateful.Visitation will take place at Becks Funeral Home 405 Fifth Avenue South, Edmonds, WA on December 28, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass and services will be held on December 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marks Catholic Church 18033 15th Place NE Shoreline, WA with a luncheon reception immediately following at St. Marks reception hall. Burial immediately following luncheon reception at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery located at 205 NE 205th Street Shoreline, WA.Rest in peace now mom for your journey here has ended. We take comfort in knowing you are safe and protected in Gods loving arms. Thank you for being the most wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Always in our hearts you made a difference. ****
