Terry Lee Smith

Dad left us to join our Mom on 12/11/2011. He was born in East Liverpool Ohio to Carl and Betty Smith on 08/23/1936. As a young boy the family moved west; first living in W. Seattle, then onto Mountlake Terrace, finally settling in Edmonds. Dad graduated from Edmonds High, where he met Mom, Karen Lee Johnson (01/10/194003/02/2004); they married 05/17/1958. Daughter Theresa joined them in 1959 followed by Son Steven in 1961. Dad worked for Van De Camps Bakery in Seattle as a truck driver until his early retirement to look after Mom. He enjoyed spending time at their riverfront property in Granite Falls as well with his family and friends. Last year Dad received a diagnosis of prostate cancer and had recently begun chemo treatment. He is survived by daughter Theresa (Glenn) Swan; son Steven Smith; grandsons: Bjorn Swan, Tyler Swan, and Derek Smith; great grandson Jace Swan; in-laws Janice Riikula, Roy (Bea) Johnson Jr., and Donna Abraham; nieces and nephews: Sharyl (Jeff) Hill, Ricky (Monica) Riikula, Syra (Morii) Morii, and James (Jennifer) Weaver; as well as his many friends and neighbors.
