Virginia Lee Spendiff

Virginia was born in Omaha, Nebraska. Her family moved extensively for her fathers work until settling in Seattle. She graduated from Queen Anne High School and went on to Central Washington University where she met and married George Spendiff in December of 1950. They were married 62 years.She was proceeded in death by her husband George and son Jerry, Virginia is survived by daughters, Shawn (Rusty), Shana, Susan (David), and a daughter-in-law id=yiv1373484396misspell-2 Lou Anne . She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 3 Great grandchildren. Virginias was a stay at home mother until her youngest daughter entered school at which time she entered the work force; first for Boeing than for the id=yiv1373484396misspell-3 Renton School District. Her career with the School District, where she was the Media Librarian, brought her great joy, many good friends, and pride in her accomplishments. She was a member of the same id=yiv1373484396misspell-4 Childrens Orthopedic Guild, a id=yiv1373484396misspell-5 fund raising group of women, since 1964. She was also active in the local political community as a member of the League of Woman Voters, a voter registrar, a pole worker, a id=yiv1373484396misspell-6 precinct id=yiv1373484396misspell-7 representative , and a member of the id=yiv1373484396misspell-8 Renton City planning commission. After her retirement she enjoyed tutoring children and helping in the classroom, playing cards with the gals, and spending time with her family and many friends.
