Warren Bohon

Sep 1, 1933 — Apr 11, 2026

Warren E. Bohon Jr.

Warren passed away early in the morning of April 11, 2026; he was 92. Born September 1, 1933, to Beatrice and Warren Bohon Sr in Seattle, WA. Warren was a lifelong Washington resident. Warren grew up in the Ballard district with four siblings, Barbara, Vivian, Peggy, and Rita, graduating Ballard High School in 1951. For a short time, he studied Architecture at the U of W until the outbreak of the Korean war, when he and a close friend enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. There he was assigned as a BAR rifleman and amphibious vehicle mechanic. After the war he found work as a service station attendant in Seattle. In 1958 he met and married Drienna Millard, also a Ballard grad. Together they had three children. Following employment with Atlantic Richfield Co, the family moved to Edmonds, Wa in 1964. In the mid 70's they purchased a small beach cottage on Camano Island. This became Dad's happy place, where he enjoyed crabbing, boating, and entertaining guests. He loved the beautiful view of Mt. Baker and Port Susan Bay and visiting with his beachside neighbors. He said he "never wanted to leave this paradise." Until recent illness required hospice care, his children worked hard to honor that wish. Warren is survived by sister Peggy Bures, Millington, TN; three children: Todd (Holly) Bohon, Stanwood, WA; Cynthia (Dino)Cooper, Edmonds, WA; and Leah (Chris) Plaisance, Mill Creek, WA, and grandchildren; Conor Plaisance, Seattle, WA; Kendra Cooper and Niko Cooper, both of St Louis, MO. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 21st, at 2PM at Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds, Wa. Reception following. Private burial will be at Evergreen Washelli, Seattle. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project per Warren's wishes. www.woundedwarriorproject.or
