William Martin Fortune

Dr. William Fortune, 82Bill Fortune, 82, of Edmonds, died May 4, 2016Dr. Fortune was born Jan 28, 1934 in Butte, Montana to William and Cecilia Fortune.Bill attended Sacred Heart High School in Missoula, MT. and continued his education at Eastern Washington University, where he was student body president. He attended the University of Washington where he earned a Masters Degree and later at Northern Arizona University he earned a PHD in education administration. He started work as a teacher in 1956 and retired from the Edmonds School District as Assistant Superintendent.He loved playing baseball and was an avid Mariners fan, going to as many games as he could and traveling each year to attend spring training games in Arizona.He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bunny Fortune; his brother Fred (Harleen) and four sons, Bill Jr. (Judy) and John (Lani), and Tom (Jennifer), and Pete Fortune, and eight grandchildren.A service will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 630 7th Ave N, Edmonds on Wednesday, May 11th at 11:00.
