Alexander V. Staknis

"Palmer-Alexander V. Staknis, 92, of Lake Thompson, passed away June 18, 2015, at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Born in Lowell, on September 27, 1922, he was the son of William and Eva (Narckiewicz) Staknis. Alex grew up in South Barre and has lived in Palmer since 1951. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and US Air Force during WWII and Vietnam. Alex retired from the maintenance department at Monson Developmental Center and was well known to many in the neighborhood of Lake Thompson and in the town of Palmer. He will be dearly missed by his niece Nicole Domnarski and partner, Brian Sullivan of Palmer along with her three daughters, Amber and partner Nicholas Goggin and their daughter Ava , Crystal and Candice, as well as his nephew Dean and his wife Robbin of Monson. He leaves a cousin Maryann Lish of NC and her husband Don, daughter Dawn Lish and son Jay Lish also of NC. He will be missed as well by his cousin Tony Masulaitis and wife Treva of Maine. Alex is survived by lifetime close friends, Phyllis and Francis Butler and family and T.K. Hurley -Wallace and many dear friends, whom lovingly called him "Uncle".
