Ann Lewin, 84, of Great Barrington, passed away on September 12, 2026. She was born on May 1, 1942, in Wales, United Kingdom, to the late Ronald and Nancy Harvey.

Ann spent her early years in England before immigrating to the United States in 1968. She settled in the Rye, New York area, where she spent most of her adult life. In 2006, she moved to Amherst and later relocated to Great Barrington in 2023.

A registered nurse throughout her career, Ann devoted her professional life to caring for others. Early in her nursing career, she worked as a midwife in Wales. She later spent more than 20 years in geriatric care at local nursing homes, where her compassion, kindness, and dedication left a lasting impact on both residents and their families.

Faith and church community played an important role in Ann's life. She was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Amherst and deeply valued the friendships, fellowship, and sense of belonging she found there.

Ann had a lifelong love for animals and especially cherished her pets. She was captivated by butterflies and maintained a special fondness for the British Royal Family, reflecting her enduring connection to her homeland.

In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jeremias Lewin, in 2003. She is survived by her son, Daniel Lewin, and his partner, Jessie; her daughter, Ruth Lewin, and her wife, Kelly; her grandson, Ari Lewin; and her brother, Mike Harvey. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, church community, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
