Anne Marie Mcgrath

"Belchertown-Anne M. (Laprade) McGrath, was safely called away from her home on Wednesday June 10, 2009 surrounded by the care, comfort, and love and support of her family. Born March 16, 1957 in Northampton, she is the daughter of Wilfred A. and Evelyn J. (LaMothe) Laprade, currently of Holyoke. Anne attended Notre Dame and Easthampton High School and went on to receive her A.S. at STCC as a physical therapy assistant. Working in the area of physical therapy for the past 30 years, she previously worked at START physical therapy, Challenge, Health South and most recently for the past 10 years at Mary Lane Hospital. Anne's green thumb tended to her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens and she found much joy in watching her children participate in all their activities. Her love will be deeply missed by her parents, along with her devoted husband Paul R., and her cherished children, Patrick of Springfield, Andrew and Kayla both of Belchertown. She will be also deeply missed by her siblings, David and his wife Marcia Laprade of Bernadston, Gerald and his wife Chris Laprade of Southampton, Mark Laprade of Holyoke, Willie and his wife Lynn Laprade of Southampton, Christopher Laprade, Janine and her husband Neal Speight of N. C., and Andrew Laprade of Chicopee along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday June 14th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St. (Rte 202). Friends and family may gather at the funeral home on Monday at 9:00 a.m. to process to St. Anne's Church in Three Rivers. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Belchertown.
