Barbara Fairbanks Mccann

" Barbara F. (Beckwith) McCann, 91, died peacefully Wednesday, November 10 at Life Care Center in Wilbraham. Born in Springfield, January 25, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Louise (Shaw) Beckwith. Educated in Springfield, she was formerly secretary to the president at the Federal Land Bank in Springfield. She lived in Westfield for thirty years before moving to Suffield in 1979. She then relocated to Belchertown where she lived with her son, Neil and his wife Karin for three years. Mrs. McCann was a member of the First Church of Christ Congregational of Suffield and was a member of its Women’s Fellowship. Predeceased by her husband, William S. McCann in 1993, she is survived by her two devoted sons, Neil S. and his wife Karin Ann McCann of Belchertown, and John B. and Karen Lee McCann, along with her six cherished grandchildren Andrea Filipkowski, and Brian N. , Jeffrey, Heather, Erik and Allison McCann, and two great grandchildren, Alexis Filipkowski and Tai McCann as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and three sisters. A memorial service will be held at a later date and those wishing may make donations in her memory to either First Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 81 High St, Suffield, CT 06078, or Life Care of Wilbraham Activity Fund, 2399 Boston Rd, Wilbraham, 01095."
