Bertha H. Foschini

"Bertha H. (Koss) Foschini, 98, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Monday, January 7. Born in Palmer, July 28, 1914, she was the daughter of Michael and Helena (Czech) Koss and was a lifelong resident. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and worked as a hairdresser for 40 years at the former Monson Developmental Center before retiring. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Antonio in 1989. She will be deeply missed by her 2 daughters, Gail Maziarz (Stephen) of Palmer, and Judy Usaforest ( Joseph) of Northampton, along with her 5 grandchildren Terry Tougas, Susan Murphy, Mark Usaforest, Martin Maziarz, and Tracey Santarelli. She also leaves 5 great grandchildren, Courtney and Rebecca Murphy, Kiley and Bailey Tougas, and Maria Santarelli, along with siblings, Edward Koss (Paulee) of Palmer, John Koss (Camille) of W. Brookfield, and Josephine Wozniak (Albert) of Worcester. A calling hour will be Thursday, January 10 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at 11:00 at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
