"South Hadley - Carole (Leclerc) Scott, 61, passed away on September 15, 2017 after a long battle with breast cancer, with her loving family by her side. She was born June 2, 1956 in Sainte Marie, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Camil and Lucille (Lehouillier) Leclerc. Carole moved to South Hadley in 2015 and previously resided for 29 years in Chicopee. She worked in the operations department for the Polish National Credit Union for over 15 years. In her leisure, she enjoyed pontoon boating,cooking, traveling, an occasional glass of wine and "Thursday date night". Family meant everything to Carole, especially quality time shared with her grandsons. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 39 years, Brian Scott of S. Hadley. She will also be missed by her two daughters, Michelle Scott of Randolph, MA and Andrea J. Melcher and husband Matthew of Feeding Hills, a sister, Colette Leclerc and partner Greg Ferst of Westfield and two precious grandchildren, Derek and Dylan Melcher. She also leaves many extended family members and friends. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 22 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m at St. Patrick's Church, burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Please meet directly at the church. For those wishing, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to a breast cancer organization of your choice."
