Catherine Helen Maus

" Palmer, Catherine H. (Whitten) Maus, 82, formerly of Converse St, died Monday, July 7, at Life Care Center, Wilbraham. Born in Dorchester, Jan. 30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Helen (Cook) Whitten. Mrs. Maus lived in Dorchester before moving to Palmer in 1946. She worked for a time at the New England Telephone Co. in Boston before transferring to the Palmer branch in 1946. She retired in 1953 to raise her family. ''Kay'' was a comunicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a member of its Daughter's of Isabella. She was also active in the Wing Memorial Hospital Women's Auxiliary . Mrs. Maus was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, William H. Maus in 1995. She is survived by a daughter Elaine Maus of Rochester Hills, MI and two grandchildren Lindsay and Nicholas. She was also predeceased by her son Richard in 1992. A funeral mass will be Wed. ,July 16 in St. Thomas Church at 12:00 noon followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home.
