"Thorndike - Cecile E.( Castonguary) Leduc, 85t. died peacefully on October 14, 2013 at Lifecare Center, Wilbraham. Born February 7, 1928 in Southbridge, she was the daughter of Eddie and Blanche (Terroy) Castonguay and has lived in Palmer since 1966. Cecile was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and a member of the Palmer Senior Center and Red Hat Society. In her leisure, she made and donated many baby blankets to the Palmer Monson Family Network and had a lovely doll collection. Her husband Walter preceded her in death in 1989. She will be deeply missed by her children, Michael Leduc Doreen) of Kernersville, NC, and Michele Kaczmarczyk (Richard) of Palmer, and 3 precious grandchildren, Amber (Randy) Vaill, Jeffrey Kaczmarczyk and fiance Marissa Bulmash, and Chase Leduc and 2 great grandchildren, Julian and Lauren Vaill. to which she was referred as "Memere". Besides her parents and husband, Cecile was preceded in death by her siblings Norman, Rita and Lillian. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17 followed by burial in Four Corners Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to Wing VNA and Hospice, Palmer Senior Center or American Diabetes. "
