Claire D. Fontaine

"Chicopee, Claire D. (Mathey) Fontaine, 85, passed away on Saturday, November 28th at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Holyoke , MA she was the daughter of Emile and Leona (Caron) Mathey. Claire has resided in the area her entire life. She was the bookkeeper for many years for Peltier Paint and Wallpaper located in Holyoke, a business that she and her husband Bernard ran together. Claire enjoyed traveling and visited many countries. She will be forever missed by her husband of 61 years, Bernard along with their three children, Bernard Jr. and his wife Susan of NJ, Ronald and his wife Barbara of Naples, FL and Karen Sikes of Palmer. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, December 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa's Church in South Hadley. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
