"Belchertown – Clyde A. Crawford, 68, of Chauncey Walker St., died Sunday at home surrounded by his family. Born on November 11, 1936 in Gilman, VT, he was the son of Norman and Minola (Carr) Crawford. Clyde has lived in Belchertown since 2001 and previously lived in Chicopee for many years. Most recently Clyde was a tractor trailer driver for Stop & Shop and previously worked at Milton Bradley for 14 years. Mr. Crawford was a member of the Moose Family Center #1849 in Chicopee, the Tiger Athletic Club and North American Camping Association PV-8. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and golfing. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Maureen (Quirk) Crawford and two daughters Dorine Anyon and her husband James of Chicopee and Donna Roberts and her husband Peter of W. Brookfield. He also leaves three sisters Ellen Daigle and her husband Conrad of Forrestville, CT, Evelyn Grimard and husband Robert of Whitefield, NH and Eva Howell of Chicopee and 5 grandchildren Katie Anyon, Thomas Anyon, Adam Roberts, Jacqui Roberts and Allie Roberts as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Clarence and two sisters Eleanor Dodge and Ethel Bessette. A funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Chicopee. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7:00 PM. Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 31 Capital Dr., W. Springfield, MA 01089 or to Baystate VNA and Hospice, 50 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01102. "
