Cristie Chapin

" Cristie (Nute) Chapin, 73, formerly of Off Lariviere Ave, Three Rivers, passed away March 26, 2003 at Leo LaChance Nursing Home in Gardner, MA. Born in Lee, Maine June 24, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Fay S. and Essie P. (Dobson)Nute. Mrs. Chapin has resided in Palmer for most of her life and was an LPN for 20 years at Monson Developmental Center before her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the Union Church of Christ in Ludlow, MA and volunteered at church suppers and other church functions. Mrs. Chapin was predeceased by her husband Merton Leon Chapin in 2002. She is survived by three sons Leon Chapin of Ware, Larry Pereira of New Bern, NC & Keith Pereira of Templeton, and two step children Merton A. of Palmer and Margo Moy of Monson. She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A funeral service was March 31, 2003 at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home.
