Denis Robert Pete Sr

Denis Robert Pete Sr., a lifelong resident of Belchertown, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on February 22, 1953, in Chicopee, Denis was son to the late Leonard and Leah (Ducharme) Pete.

Denis' life was a testament to hard work and dedication, having built a career in the transportation industry as a trucker. His passion for trucking was unmatched, earning him every endorsement possible on his license. Beyond his professional life, Denis loved building and fixing things, a "Jack of all trades, Master of none" with skills in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and everything in between. Denis was an Elvis fanatic and he accumulated quite the memorabilia collection over the years.

Denis was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Irene Smith and Doris Spaulding, and his lifelong friend, Tom Monette. He leaves behind a loving family, including his beloved wife, Anita Pete; their children, Richeline Breckenridge, Lorianne Housman, Denise Pete, Denis Pete Jr., David Pete and his wife Jessica Alice Pete, and Duke Pete; as well as many cherished grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 17, 2026 from 10am-12pm at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in South Cemetery.
