Diane M. Clough

"Warren- Diane M. (Brissette) Clough, 62, of Main St., died January 25 at home. Born January 23, 1943 in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Lillian (Shabot) and Joseph A.E. Benoit. Diane was adopted and raised by Lawrence and Alice (Mongeon) Brissette. She has lived in Warren since 1965, previously residing in Palmer. Diane retired after 26 years of employment as a receptionist at Monson Developmental Center in 2002. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church and very involved in the church’s activities. Diane is survived by her husband of 43 years, Philip A., a son Quintin John of Manhattan, NY, a daughter Deanna Sariol-Clough of Hillsdale, NJ, and grandchildren Aaron, Jared, and Olivia Sariol and Marissa Sariol-Clough. She also leaves brothers Harvey Benoit of Southampton, Ronald Benoit of Ludlow and a sister Adrienne Lalashius of W.Warren. Diane was predeceased by her son Eric in 2001 and a sister Marie Brissette. Funeral services will take place Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by a mass of Christian Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall St., 22nd Fl., N.Y., NY 10005 in memory of Lillian Benoit, her mother, and Eric Clough, her son.
