Diane Rose Kirby

"Diane Rose (Laskoski) Kirby, (62) , of Elizabeth St. in the Thorndike section of Palmer, died Saturday, April 28, 2007 at home. Born in Northampton, August 19th 1944, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Usadvenus) Laskoski. Diane grew up in Sunderland on the family farm and was a graduate of Frontier Regional High School. She moved to the Palmer area in 1968, where she raised her family. Among the many ways she will be remembered will be for her love of Cape Cod sunsets, her green thumb, her talent as a craftsperson, and, of course, her love and care as a wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 43 years, Edward F. Kirby, Sr., her two sons Edward, Jr. and his wife Doreen, and Shawn and his wife Jennifer all of Belchertown, along with her precious grandchildren Marshall and Morgen. She also leaves six sisters Jane Konvelski and Arlene Lawson of S. Deerfield, Ruth Smith and Gloria Connelley of Sunderland, Mary Shaffer of Hawley, and Lois Krok of Amherst, along with her mother in law Margaret Kirby of Belchertown and brother in law Conrad Kirby and his wife Shirley of S. Hadley. A service to celebrate her life will be Thursday, May 3rd at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St., (Rte. 202) at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery, S.
