Doris W. Roberts

"Palmer – Doris W. (Keith) Roberts, 77, of Smith St., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, with her family by her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY on Feb. 6, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Nellie (Jolick) Keith. She previously resided in Moncton, N.B. Canada and has lived in Palmer for the past 60 years. Doris retired from Roberts Archery Company in Palmer, which she owned and operated for over 20 years, she previously worked for 15 years at Three Rivers Industries. In her early years, she enjoyed the sport of archery and loved spending time outdoors watching the wildlife; she also loved spending time with her family. She leaves her husband of 57 years Wallace J. Roberts, Sr., three daughters Cheryl and her husband Michael Rovelli, Barbara and her husband Roger Rondeau and Norma Roberts and a son Wallace J. Roberts, Jr. and his wife Cynthia. She also leaves a sister Esther Windle of Moncton, N.B. Canada, seven grandchildren Nicole and Matthew Rovelli, Carlo and Angela Santucci, Stephen and Jason Rondeau and Cynthia Matera, also nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would respectfully request a donation to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobala Rd., Holyoke, MA 01040 or to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 42B Wright St., Palmer, MA 01069.
