Dorothy M. Russo

"Dorothy M. (Mack) Russo, 93, of Breckenridge St., died peacefully on Tuesday, December 7 at her home with family members and her cat by her side. Born in Enfield, CT, May 6, 1917, she has lived in Palmer since 1933. A devoted mother, she will be deeply missed by her children Adney "Sonny" and his wife Norma of Palmer, and Joy Duffy and husband Robert of Coventry, CT. She also leaves a sister Marion Planta of Brookfield, and 8 grandchildren, as well as 19 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Her husband Arthur and a daughter Shirley Ashe preceded her in death. A funeral service will be Friday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St., (Rte 20) followed by burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service from10:00 – 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, to honor her memory please make donations to either Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or St. Jude Children's Hospital. "
