Dorothy G. Wise

"Palmer, Dorothy G. (Hegy) Wise, 93, died peacefully on Sunday at Wingate at Wilbraham. Born in Holyoke, February 5, 1913, she was the daughter of the late George and Francis (Jebb) Hegy. Mrs. Wise lived in Springfield for many years before moving to Palmer. She was a former communicant of Holy Name Church. In her leisure, Dorothy enjoyed painting, quilting and gardening. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald Wise in 1985. She will be deeply missed by her six children Linda Meyette and William Wise of Palmer, Kevin Wise of Huntington, Robert Wise of Agawam, Marilyn Wise of S. Hadley, and Deborah Flannery of lake Worth, FL, along with six grandchildren Patrick and John Wise, Elizabeth Williams, Louise Crane, and Jeff and Ben Carlson. She also leaves six great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday at 11:00am in St. Patrick’s Church in South Hadley. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours are omitted and Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
