Edward M Reardon

"Edward M. Reardon, 92, of South Hadley, who proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII, passed away on July 3, 2015. Born on May 9, 1923 in Holyoke, he was the son of the late Philip H. and Mary (Gallagher) Reardon and called South Hadley home for many years. Edward was a custodian for several area public schools, hospitals, and churches. He was married to Helen T. (Donahue) Reardon, who passed away in 2011. Edward raised and raced homing pigeons for Red's Loft in Jaffrey, NH. He enjoyed shopping for antiques and was an avid reader. Edward loved watching country western shows and cowboy movies. He enjoyed his time spent with family, especially his granddaughters Alyson and Brooke. Edward is survived by his daughters Susan Bruneault and her husband George, and Donna Mitchel, all of Chicopee; a brother Philip Reardon, Jr., of Ludlow; grandchildren Craig Bruneault and Stacy Mraz, and great-grandchildren Alyson, Brooke, Zach, Alexandra, Sam, Maxwell, and Chuck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick's Church, South Hadley. The family kindly requests that those people wishing to attend please meet directly at the church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities, 10 Hammond St, Worcester, MA 01610."
