Elizabeth C Wood

"Belchertown- Elizabeth C. "Betsy" (Archambeau) Wood, 66, of Belchertown, passed away on June 15, 2018 with her beloved husband, William G. Wood, by her side. Born on July 15, 1951 in Springfield, she was the daughter of James Archambeau and Catherine (Desmond) Peterson, of West Springfield. On July 8th, she and Bill would have been married for 40 years. They were the love of each other's lives. Betsy worked as a CNA in the same hospital in Springfield for 45 years, a career befitting her lifelong dedication to helping others. She was a lover of animals and enjoyed the outdoors, especially trips she took with Bill to Marconi Beach on Cape Cod and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. She also enjoyed riding on the back of Bill's Harley Davidson. In addition to her cherished husband, Bill, and her parents, Betsy will be deeply missed by siblings James Archambeau and his wife Debra, Karen Kennison and her husband Gerald, Edward Archambeau, and Patricia Meffen and her husband David; brothers in law Randy, Robin, and Matthew Wood; many cherished nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat Rosie. She was predeceased by a brother Eric "Beaver" Peterson and brother in law Carl Wood. Calling hours will be held at the Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St., on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4-7 PM, followed immediately by a service.
