Francine Hawk

"Belchertown-It is with great sadness the family of Francine A. (Poirier) Hawk, announces her unexpected passing on November 20, 2018 at the age of 60. She died peacefully surrounded by her family. Francine was born May 14, 1958 in Moncton, NB, Canada, daughter of the late Rene and Andrea (Melanson) Poirier. She married her loving husband, Randy, in August 1978 and moved to Belchertown, where they raised their family for the last 37 years. For over 20 years, Fran worked as an office manager at UFCW Local 1459. She had an infectious smile and was well loved by her large family and friends. Fran loved going on motorcycle rides with Randy, traveling and spending summers at the family cottage in Wales. Cooking, trying new recipes and shopping for a great deal also brought Fran much enjoyment. Above all, her greatest passion was her family. Family gatherings, Christmas and most especially being a Meme, meant the world to Fran. With over 40 years of marriage to her husband, Fran's love will forever remain with Randy, and their three daughters, Jessica Hawk of Holland, Christina Hoverman and husband Shane of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jennifer Assad and husband Joseph of Wilbraham. Her dear six grandchildren, Ethan, Isabella, Anthony, Abigail, Simon and Hawk as well as 7 siblings, Robert, Pierre, Louis and John Poirier, Suzanne Hancock and Annette Bishop will also treasure her memory. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, P. Michael Poirier. Visitation will be held Monday, Nov 26th from 4:00-7:00PM at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Prayer service will be Tuesday, Nov 27th at 11:00AM, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Toys for Tots, a charity dedicated to children and Christmas, two things Fran loved most."
