Genevieve Marie Floyd

"Thorndike - Genevieve M (Gay) Floyd, 84, died on November 30, 2018. Born August 15, 1934 in Thorndike, she was the daughter of Ernest Gay, Jr. ad Aurelia (Daudelin) Gay. Genevieve was a communicant of the former St. Ann Church and worked as a cook for the former Monson Developmental Center before retiring. She will be deeply missed by her 3 children, April Auclair of Thorndike, Cynthia VanBrocklyn of AR, and Laura Franchere of Ludlow along wither her 5 siblings, Francis Gay of CO, Lorraine Parent of Springfield, Anita Patullo of Belchertown, Paulette of NH, and John Gay of CA. She also leaves 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Besides her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband Lauren Floyd and son Allan Floyd along with siblings Bernadette Bleau, Irene Hebert and Edward Gay. A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 6 at 11:30 at St. Ann Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Thursday, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. preceding the graveside service at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to the Shriner's Hospital, Carew St., Springfield."
