George Miller

"Holland, MA – George E. Miller, 87, died peacefully on Saturday, May 8th at his home by the lake in Holland, MA. Born in Bristol, CT on March 30, 1923, he was the son of the late Russell and Elsie (Loeffler) Miller. He previously resided in South Glastonbury, CT before relocating to Holland in 2006. He was a proud Army Veteran of WWII. In 1972 he opened Heritage Printers in Hartford, CT. George retired in 1993 and enjoyed time with his family and summers on the lake. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Ruth (Saunders), along with their four sons, Dale and his wife Joanne of Cranston, RI, Ronald and his wife Judith of Southington, CT, Gary with whom he lived, and J. Duff and his wife Kimberly of Glastonbury, CT; along with his seven precious grandchildren, Tam, Sarah, Megan, Shannon, Kelley, Sean and William. He was predeceased by his brother William P. Loeffler of Plainfield, NJ and is survived by his sister Betty Loeffler Liana of Pennington, NJ. A memorial service with military honors will be held at the South Glastonbury Congregational Church on Wednesday, June 2 at 10:30 a.m. Donations in George's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
