Gloria S. Parent

"Granby - Gloria S. Parent, 80, passed away June 6, 2019. Born February 15, 1939 in Laconia, NH, she was the daughter of Maurice and Demerise (Begin) Tibbetts. Gloria has lived in Granby since 1959. She worked for Inter-All Corporation for 23 years as an embroiderer. In her leisure, Gloria enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and taking her dogs for walks. In her younger years, she also enjoyed skiing and snowmobiling. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Joseph T. Parent, Jr. and two children, Diane O'Connell and husband Robert of South Hadley and Daniel Parent of Granby. Gloria also leaves behind a brother, Melvin Tibbetts (Betty), as well as her three beloved grandchildren, Kelsey, Molly, and Bobby. Besides her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her daughter Laurie Parent. A calling hour will be held Saturday June 15, 2019 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in West Cemetery in Granby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association."
