Helen T. Grenier

"Belchertown, Helen T. Grenier, 97, died peacefully at home on Monday, December 2, 2013. Born on December 17, 1915 in Watertown, MA she was the daughter of Peter and Mary McNicholas. She resided in the Watertown are for most of her life before relocating to Belchertown in 1985. She was a self employed hair stylist for many years, retiring in 1973. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church and she will always be remembered for her gentle and loving manner. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Maryjane Lemire and her husband Wil with whom she lived. Her grandson, Brian Amara and his wife Kristine and their children, Audrianna and Joshua Amara and Anthony and Joseph Polodoro, all of Wilbraham also survive her. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Grenier in 1994. The family would like to express their gratitude to Helen's loving and compassionate caregivers for the past several years, Melissa Rice, Angelica Graziano and Tina Strange. A Memorial Mass will be on Friday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial will follow in South Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Francis Church Building Fund, Park St., Belchertown, MA 01007. "
